What You'll Do 

As a Remote Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, payroll processing, and compliance with Canadian financial regulations. Your expertise in Sage 50 and bookkeeping best practices will play a vital role in our operations. 


Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management Process and manage payroll with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Bank Reconciliations Ensure financial records match bank transactions.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversee transactions and maintain organized records.
  • Bookkeeping with Sage 50 Utilize Sage 50 and other accounting software to keep financial data updated. 
  • Tax & Compliance Support Ensure compliance with BC tax regulations and assist in financial reporting. 
  • Job Costing & Expense Tracking Maintain records related to projects and job expenses.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting Assist the management team with budget tracking and reporting. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping & payroll experience (construction or service-based industries preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Sage 50 (experience with other accounting software is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and financial principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail & ability to work independently. 
  • Fluent in English (verbal & written communication is key). 
  • Reliable internet connection & ability to work remotely with a Canadian-based
